Green finch, and linnet bird,
Nightingale, blackbird,
How is it you sing?
How can you jubilate
sitting in cages
never taking wing?
Outside the sky waits
beckoning!
Beckoning!
Just beyond the bars...
How can you remain
staring at the rain
maddened by the stars?
How is it you sing
anything?
How is it you sing?

The voice of the young princess was softly caressed by the wind trough the glade. The place where she was residing was in a small garden, created by large trees. Even when snow was covering the ground, the place were she was was fresh green and no snow on the ground. She was laying on some delicate placed furs, the tree above her giving her shade against the winter sun. Her belly was round of the fawn she was carrying. Soon she would be a mother ... yet a mother that was caged.

My cage has many rooms
damask and dark...
Nothing there sings,
not even my lark.
Larks never will, you know,
when they're captive.
Teach me to be more
adaptive.
Ah...
Green Finch, and Linnet Bird,
nightingale, blackbird,
teach me how to sing.
If I cannot fly...
Let me sing.

The young Princess didn't realized that her Lord was watching from the corner, while the princess sang her song to the sky, her eyes softly closed for the sun. He could only indulge her beauty, even when she was now round with fawn. It gave the doe a certain beauty for him behold. And she was his and his alone. Yet in some way, the sadness in her eyes had not gone unnoticed to the stag. She had now been here from the day they were married a few seasons ago. She had not left the glade for anything, except at his side. He had allowed for family and a few friends to visit, but he had barely seen that smile he so much wanted to see.

Siska ears pricked up when she suddenly heard hooves approach and she turned her head, only to see Lord Arendel standing a few meters from her. She dipped her head in a polite way, reversing her eyes from his gaze. She had seen his looks ...
"My Lord ..." She softly whispered, scared she had done something wrong.
"That was beautifully." He said, still holding his serious face.
It was something Siska had not expected to hear. She rose her head a bit, letting her long manes fall across her neck to the ground.
"Thank you, my Lord. It has been ... my hobby for years."
Arendel only nodded before he stepped up to her. She could see the slight flinch in her reaction when he came near and pressed his nose against her round belly. he had done it a few times, but each time she seemed to flinch by his touch.
"Not so much longer ..." he softly whispered, catching that shy and rare smile on the does face.
"My aunt say it shall probably for the early days of Spring."
Arendel rose his head and gave a soft snort before he turned around and started to walk away. Siska followed his hooves for a steps, relaxing her muscles when she saw him leave. Then he suddenly stopped and he turned his head to look over his shoulder.
"I will allow you to visit your singing company again." he said.
Siska rose her head again in disbelieve. "My Lord?"
"Such talent should not go to waste ... One of my guards will guide you every time you go. You shall not go alone and stay no longer then needed. Do not disappoint me."
Siska heart fluttered in her chest when she heard the news she was allowed to the leave to glade to sing again. A soft glow could be seen around her body of happiness and content, a small smile adorning her face.
She dipped her head again in a polite bow.
"Thank you, My Lord. I ... I will not disappoint you."
Arendel nodded before he left the glade again, leaving his princess to rest.
